Fa La La La La......

Lots of fun holiday shows to see this season.  Tavaci is always super fun and Meili even had a special number with a few other girls.  It was darling.  They dressed them up like big presents with big bows on their heads.   The song was so cute and the video we took is a definite must see.  We were pretty proud parents.  


Here are some pictures from the last ballet class before Christmas break.  The recital was very fun and Meili really did so great and was just plain adorable.  We also recorded that and apparently only took pictures afterwards.  But she loved her flowers....mostly because there was a candy cane in them. :)







Meili also performed in a school Christmas program which so great too.  You can definitely feel her love of singing and performing when she is on the stage.  


J.D. had a very fun class party that I was able to help with.  We thought all the kids from the neighborhood looked so cute that we needed to get a picture of them to keep for blackmail when they are 16.  
One of our highlights also this season was to attend Juanito Bandito!  The kids absolutely loved it and it made for the perfect Family Home Evening!  Of course the kids had saved their money to buy the "stache" apparel and J.D. was looking pretty suave.

First Day of School.....

It's crazy to realize that it's already fall. With the kids going back to school and summer winding down, I just can't believe how fast they grow. Sometimes I wish I was the homeschooling mother. They spend way too much time in school. I feel a little deprived....but I won't flatter myself into actually thinking they would want to spend all day with me anyway. They have been in school two days and of course the little ones love it! J.D. and Nick think it's great and they love their teachers. J.D. also really thinks eating lunch at school is cool. It was hard to send him to first grade but he's loving it and he even got an extra snack at school because he was the only one who said Thank You! Way to go bud! I can't believe Nick is in 3rd grade. Meili's 6th Birthday...

Meili's only request this year was to spend her birthday in Bear Lake.  That was not a problem.  Since it was also Raspberry Days that weekend, my family planned to come spend a fun-filled weekend with us.  Russel and I decided to come the night before and bring the three little kids with us.  We thought it would be super fun to go down to the KOA and rent a 6-person bike and ride around town.  It was a little harder than we thought since Russel and I were pretty much the man power.  We kept telling the kids to start pulling their weight and get pedaling!  JD kept complaining a little that his heart was hurting.  Well he's definitely a little athlete so I'm just thinking he's being lazy.  I kept telling him to get his groove on and get moving. Well after about an hour we returned the bike and went for snow cones.  The best snow cones in all of Bear Lake.  Yum!  Anyway, JD kept saying his heart was going so fast and I kept brush...

A Little Talky Time and a Very Sweet Reunion.....

Okay so it's been long, almost a month, since my last post. I'm a slacker. There were many times I thought about posting like when Josh had his first golf tournament and although they didn't win, he came in second on his team. Josh had lots going on this month like his new braces. I had hoped to do a whole post just about him but we kept forgetting the camera every time he had his team shirt on and the fact that his golf clubs are in a locker at the golf course didn't help.....or maybe it's just because we don't see much of him anymore and when he is home, we are doing homework. Notice I didn't say Josh is doing homework, but that WE are doing homework. It's been a long month and I feel like I'm losing my mind slightly but there are some very good fun things to report on so we will quickly do those now before I get to experience 9th grade all over again tonight, because you realize this is a nightly occurrence right? mostly well past 10 p.m.,...
