Simple Joys.....

A couple of Sundays ago, all the kids were out playing on the deck. It was a beautiful night. The wind and the rain started up and Meili just went crazy. She loved every second. It was so wet and so windy and she just couldn't get enough. They ran back and forth from one end of the deck to the other at least 100 times.










Here are a couple of pictures of our two beautiful girls in their beautiful dresses from China. Meili was in no mood for pictures but we did our best before she really just wouldn't put up with the camera in her face any longer.


Today Abi was out on the deck with Meili just playing. Abi managed to capture perfectly that sweet little fun personality of Meili. Here's just a glimpse....

    SO, SO cute! First of all, the banner picture is adorable. Everybody looks so, so cute in their matching outfits. The video is to die for and I miss that cute little singing voice. The Chinese outfits are so cute. She is just happy, relaxed and adorable!

    She fits. She just fits so perfectly and you can tell she feels so loved. Love Sundays- where you can just hang out as a family, in the rain, even. Awesome!

Meili's 6th Birthday...

Meili's only request this year was to spend her birthday in Bear Lake.  That was not a problem.  Since it was also Raspberry Days that weekend, my family planned to come spend a fun-filled weekend with us.  Russel and I decided to come the night before and bring the three little kids with us.  We thought it would be super fun to go down to the KOA and rent a 6-person bike and ride around town.  It was a little harder than we thought since Russel and I were pretty much the man power.  We kept telling the kids to start pulling their weight and get pedaling!  JD kept complaining a little that his heart was hurting.  Well he's definitely a little athlete so I'm just thinking he's being lazy.  I kept telling him to get his groove on and get moving. Girls, Girls, Girls....

So I have a lot of catching up to do in the blogging world. Several things have happened this month so I am devoting however long it may take today to get everything posted. This past weekend Abi invited 4 friends to go to the Nutcracker with her and Meili....of course Russel and I tagged along as well. We went to the matinee showing and beforehand they had a Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party that was an absolute must. All the girls dressed up in fancy dresses and we had a great time. The tea party was decorated like a little girl's dream. Pink everywhere, sparkles covering everything, gooey pink sweet dessert, and many performers from the show mingling and taking pictures. Abi is truly blessed to have such good friends and this is only just a handful of them. The girls were so cute and had a great time. Beautiful Drive up Logan Canyon...

On Saturday, we decided to take a little drive up the canyon and look at the beautiful fall colors and my oh my were they gorgeous!! We've been up there twice this week and just can't get enough. This time we remembered the camera. :) The kids loved seeing the vibrant leaves. The drive is truly an hour of awesomeness. Plus it's always nice to know there's a very yummy fresh raspberry shake waiting for you....not to mention chocolate covered raspberries. Just a few of our favorite moments in Bear Lake. Here are a few of the "hundreds" of pics that Russel took. He has "trigger finger." I think I narrowed it down pretty good though.....although sometimes it's hard to tell if #95 looks better #3. :)
