May Day May Day HELP!!!......

I can't believe May is already here and almost gone again.  It's absolutely crazy.  Josh came home one day as the end of school got closer and said "I can't believe how fast this year has gone....I'm pretty much almost a senior."  I glared at him and said "no you are not, you are almost a JUNIOR." He just laughed and said "well if you consider how fast this year went by, then ya I am almost a senior."  I really wanted to smack him.

The kids all had lots of things going on in May.  It's always such a fun month but a crazy one too.

Nick was involved in the Greenville Mile again this year and YES I was present and ON TIME.  I didn't miss even one second of it.  He did great and is such a good little runner.  Maybe he will be our little track star someday.  He has such great friends and had a great day being with them.

The fourth grade classes always perform a Utah program every year.  Nick did a great job and looked so handsome.  I can't believe the amount of songs they memorize and learn.  It is great and really helps them appreciate the history of Utah. They even dress up a little. Abi came with me and said he looked the cutest.  I whole heartedly agree :)

J.D.'s class put on such a cute program for the parents. They had it in their classroom and it was great to be able to be up so close and see them so well.  His teacher, Mrs. Checketts, is such an amazing lady.  She has been a friend of Russel's family for years and we've always hoped our children would get her.  J.D. was the lucky one!  She is one of those teachers that really make a huge difference in their little world.

Meili had a great finish to her speech classes and preschool.  She is really making a lot of progress and doing so well.  She will continue to do some summer classes and then start full time preschool in the fall.  Since I didn't have any pictures of Meili from preschool, I'll throw in some that Abi took of her playing in the yard.  She loves the water and as soon as it was even kind of warm, she had her swimsuit on and the hose ready.

Abi was in choir this year and here are some pictures from her concert.  It was really quite fun.  They sang lots of songs from my era.  I thought it was great and it was nice to get some validation that we had cool songs too growing up.

Abi had a great year making this her second year to get a 4.0 all year.  She was invited to the Breakfast of Champions and received awards in Math and Citizenship, and also Student of the Month.

If you ask her though? her biggest success was making Student Council.  She is sooo excited and can't wait for next year.  It is a little crazy when they do the elections.   They don't put up posters or anything until they find out if they make the finals and then you have one night to make posters and have them ready to go at 7 a.m. the next morning.  It was a little stressful but I decided the easiest way would be to print off the 20x30 pictures from Sam's.  So I had the slogans, pictures, and ideas ready and as soon as I got that call from Abi Monday afternoon, I raced to the phone to call in my amazing sister.  I emailed her all the stuff, she threw it together....made it look absolutely amazing....and I ran it into sam's.   An hour later, we had these awesome posters and were ready to go for the next morning.

It's always fun to see them accomplish things and move onto the next stage of their lives but it always makes me a little sad that time goes so fast.  I wish I could bottle it all up and save it.  Love you kiddos!  You've done great this year!  Keep reaching for the stars!
