One Week To Go....If Anyone Cares? (oh that's right, our kids do.....and those taking care of our kids definitely do)

Today we tried to attend the LDS branch here in Guangzhou but our guide couldn't find the address we had for her. So instead we went on tour with our group. It was nice to finally meet Sandy and her son Alexander, from Michigan. She is here to pick up Alexander all by herself. Julie became acquainted with her through another couple we are with, Paul and Jenny Welsh, of SLC. We had an enjoyable day. It was warm (not hot) but incredibly humid. We seem to exude liquid (sound less smelly?) from our body a lot more than the locals (a lot more....yeah, gross). FYI Julie glistens!
We went to two parks to enjoy nature :). Meili had her first popsicle with us and quite enjoyed it. It was a mess because she licked it, no bites. It melted faster than she could get it into her cutest little lips. In the first park, we learned that rams came and talked with the early settlers and taught them how to plant rice. The grounds were beautiful. The second park brought much humor to our spirits! It was an orchid park....we found one blooming, yeah, only one (lol). The park had some wonderful signs that should be used in our neighborhoods. They speak for themselves so enjoy the photos.
We ended our tour by having lunch at a Taiwanese Cafe we were familiar with (safe for the brave McKenna stomachs). We enjoyed lunch with our friends the Welsh's. Boring day but we sure enjoyed it. Bless you all for helping make this adoption possible. Kids be good! Love you all.
