Meili's Baptism and Birthday.....

Oh this sweet girl of mine!  It's hard to believe she's 8 and has been our little girl for 5 years!   She has grown so fast yet it seems like she's been part of us forever.   What did we ever do without her!   She is such a beautiful girl and has the sweetest spirit.   She is always trying to make others happy, writing notes, drawing pictures, giving lots of hugs and kisses, and being silly and making us laugh.   Her testimony of the gospel is strong and yet so sweet and tender.   There have been many times when I have found little notes in her room where she has written down her testimony and it brings me to tears.   I have been able to share those words with Josh while he has been on his mission and it has touched his heart as well.   

Meili was baptized this year and it was a beautiful experience for all of us.   We had a wonderful lunch with friends and family and you could feel all the love everyone has for this amazing little girl! Abi was my photographer and wow I couldn't be happier with the pics.  She did an incredible job and even Savvy stopped by for a guest appearance.   Meili has always been super close to Sav and we were so glad she was able to get a few snapshots with her.   

Meili also had a very birthday party at Build-A-Bear with friends.   Those girls were adorable and laughed and giggled the whole time.   Then we wrapped it all up with a swim party at Grandma's.   It was a perfect day!

Love you so much sweet Meili and so proud of you for all the wonderful things you do.   Thank you for always serving others and staying close to your Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.   You are an example to us all!

Meili's 6th Birthday...

Meili's only request this year was to spend her birthday in Bear Lake.  That was not a problem.  Since it was also Raspberry Days that weekend, my family planned to come spend a fun-filled weekend with us.  Russel and I decided to come the night before and bring the three little kids with us.  We thought it would be super fun to go down to the KOA and rent a 6-person bike and ride around town.  It was a little harder than we thought since Russel and I were pretty much the man power.  We kept telling the kids to start pulling their weight and get pedaling!  JD kept complaining a little that his heart was hurting.  Well he's definitely a little athlete so I'm just thinking he's being lazy.  I kept telling him to get his groove on and get moving. Well after about an hour we returned the bike and went for snow cones.  The best snow cones in all of Bear Lake.  Yum!  Anyway, JD kept saying his heart was going so fast and I kept brush...

Girls, Girls, Girls....

So I have a lot of catching up to do in the blogging world. Several things have happened this month so I am devoting however long it may take today to get everything posted. This past weekend Abi invited 4 friends to go to the Nutcracker with her and Meili....of course Russel and I tagged along as well. We went to the matinee showing and beforehand they had a Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party that was an absolute must. All the girls dressed up in fancy dresses and we had a great time. The tea party was decorated like a little girl's dream. Pink everywhere, sparkles covering everything, gooey pink sweet dessert, and many performers from the show mingling and taking pictures. Abi is truly blessed to have such good friends and this is only just a handful of them. The girls were so cute and had a great time. Beautiful Drive up Logan Canyon...

On Saturday, we decided to take a little drive up the canyon and look at the beautiful fall colors and my oh my were they gorgeous!! We've been up there twice this week and just can't get enough. This time we remembered the camera. :) The kids loved seeing the vibrant leaves. The drive is truly an hour of awesomeness. Plus it's always nice to know there's a very yummy fresh raspberry shake waiting for you....not to mention chocolate covered raspberries. Just a few of our favorite moments in Bear Lake. Here are a few of the "hundreds" of pics that Russel took. He has "trigger finger." I think I narrowed it down pretty good though.....although sometimes it's hard to tell if #95 looks better #3. :)
