Abi's 16th Birthday Bash!!!....
Wow! I can't believe my girl is 16! It's absolutely crazy how grown up she is getting. She is becoming such a beautiful young lady both inside and out. Abi has always been very sweet and compassionate towards others....always wanting to include those who may feel left out or stand up for those who may be getting beaten down. I have always been so proud of her and her ability to stand up for what is right even when it is not the most popular thing to do and even when she is criticized for it. She is such a light to our family and I can always count on her to know when I'm really in desperate need of help and step up to do whatever she can to help.
This year I thought it would be fun to throw her a huge surprise party. And I think it was a hit..although you can't tell because somehow I have lost all the pictures :**( which i'm heartbroken over. Thankfully Abi has a few of them but not enough to really show the full fun....but hey some is better than none.
I texted a bunch of her friends and told them to get the word out. And then asked Emme if she could keep her entertained after school for a few hours. At lunch I grabbed Abi and we ran to the driver's license division to get her license!! Wow! That was a weird feeling to just send her back to school by herself....but it was a huge help later to have her drive when her and Emme were playing around all day. As I was frantically getting everything ready, Abi called and said she wanted to spend some time with me on her birthday and wondered if I could come meet her for dinner....what? um well ya of course how do you say no to your beautiful birthday girl on her 16th bday? So off Russel and I ran to the restaurant. Russel and I ate as fast as we could and almost spilled the beans a couple of times but we made it through and she was none the wiser. We had around 50+ people show up and I sent Emme a text telling her to bring her home. It was a great day and she was so surprised. Such a fun day and lots of good friends. Here are a few photos from this fabulous day. Pretty sure it was her best birthday yet! And the best part (that you can't see from the photos) is the huge life-size poster we had made of one of the last photos of Josh and Abi. It was truly awesome and he was definitely the guest of honor!
She also had a fun photoshoot with Emme....

We also had a great party with the McKennas Sunday night. The cake was beautiful and made by Julie Stenquist in our ward. She's amazing. She also made the best cupcakes as well which were divine. And thanks to Julie we have a picture of the cake :)
