2014 Sky View and Seminary Graduate......
Joshua Russel McKenna is an official graduate of the LDS Seminary program of 4 years, and also Sky View High School. Wahoo he made it!!!
Seminary graduation was really a neat experience. I knew they did the graduations by stakes and I didn't know how I felt about that since when I graduated it was the whole school but it was fun to be with just our stake and be able to spend time visiting with Josh's friends and fellow graduates. It was also much faster which I can't complain about that.
Here is Josh with Supe and Josh G. Supe is a couple years younger but has been one of Josh's best friends. Now he's gonna have to be one of Abi's best friends so I can still see him every once in awhile. I love all these boys like my own.
And yes people I do realize that I need some lessons in how to run the dang camera. I just need a cheap little point and shoot.....none of this complicated stuff.
Little Meili was such a trooper. She was tired, it was long, and then it was so hot once we went outside.....but after she took a little rest and shed a tear or two, she was right back being happy!
And then my camera died and you can see I do much better with a dumb little iphone camera than the fancy dancy kind.
Love love love this grandma of his. And she sure loves him. She is so sweet and truly sees only the good and amazing things in him. She thinks he is so special and he feels that. She is one amazing lady and he is so lucky to be able to call her grandma.

Sky View's Graduation was held at Dee Glenn Smith Spectrum (where USU Aggies play basketball). It was a pretty awesome site to watch all the graduates walk in their blue and white. So many amazing kids. The speeches were fantastic, especially the Valedictorian who is darling and in our ward. It really was a great graduation and we have grown to love so many of these kids that it was hard on me knowing they will all be going their separate ways and I will miss them all so much......and even miss feeding them!!!. These amazing friendships will last a lifetime but its hard to see this phase come to an end. But they are all destined for greatness and I know they will be going on to bigger and better things.
There is never a dull moment with Collin around. These two boys were born on the same day in the same hospital. If you can believe Josh was quite a bit bigger than Collin when they were born.....obviously that didn't last too long!

Congratulations handsome boy!!! We are so proud of you and know you are going to do amazing things.
Oh and of course we then all rushed up to the cabin for an all night graduation party......and it really did last pretty much all night. I think they finally sacked out about 6 a.m. But they had a lot of fun and I didn't mind too much. I had no expectation of sleep which was key in making it through the night. Oh and of course I need to share a little bit about the night. I had put Josh in charge of assigning out any snacks for the night since most had plans to eat dinner with family and I knew the kids wouldn't get there until late. I told Josh we would do breakfast for them but he needed to make sure there was enough food to last until then. So we get there and the boys immediately apologize for the fridge being so full.....and I'm just thinking how proud I am of them that they brought food, etc......well the fridge was stocked that's for sure.....but just with pop. I had brought a couple of bags of candy and I think there was a bag of chips. Around 11:00 I asked Josh if he wanted me to make cookies or something and he said "oh no, we are good, we have chips." Pretty soon we see some of the girls making easy mac and whatever else they can find in the pantry. Finally around 1:30 Russel and I got up and decided to make them crepes because pretty much everyone was starving!! I started to talking to some of the girls and one of the girls who Josh really likes and has been dating a little said she had called Josh and asked what she could bring.....and he said "oh nothing at all, we've got it covered." HAHAHA!! sure they did. Anyway, it all turned out great and I was still able to come up with enough stuff for breakfast but there were kids everywhere. Kinda crazy but mostly fun.
Only you could pull this off! You are amazing! Sounds like an awesome night!
