J.D.'s 10th Birthday....
This boy ALWAYS has the biggest smile on his face.....even when he's mad at me he can still manage a smile. JD invited a couple of friends and decided he wanted to go to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch. It was a great day and these boys had a lot of fun. I think JD chose BWW because of the bottle of sauce you get for your birthday. And of course did he choose the hottest he could get? Yep, nothing is too hot for this kid. The hotter the better!
We had a great family party as well. My kids LOVE this tradition and love spending time with cousins. JD ordered up pizzookies instead of cake with Grandma Jo's homemade chocolate sauce.
JD also earned his Bear Scout Award and has officially moved on to the Webelos group. Wow! Crazy.....I just realized the other day that this year will be the last for the Pinewood Derby for our family. Next year JD will be in 11 year old scouts. Most things are a little sad to me when my kids move on and grow up but I actually did a little happy dance as I thought about that. I think that's the first time I've looked a chapter that would be closed forevermore and not been sad. Hehe. Don't get me wrong, the derbys are fun....but I'm totally okay to just remember them in my head every year.
JD you are a great kid. You have been blessed with many talents and we are so proud of you. JD always remember to do your very best in everything you do. You have so much potential and we never want you to settle for anything but the best. Thank you for doing your part in our family and being part of the team! We can do hard things when we work together. Thanks for being such a great student and always being respectful of your teachers. That is a wonderful quality to have and will serve you well in life. And thanks for being a great friend, brother, and son. We love you and hope you had a wonderful birthday!! Xoxoxo.
