Temple Square Tradition...

Another great year at Temple Square.  This is one of my favorite traditions and this year had some extra fun attached to it as we got to look at the decorated windows at the new City Creek Shopping Center.  It brought back so many good memories from when I was a kid and my parents would take us into the old ZCMI center to admire all the beautiful Christmas and Winter windows.  And this year (after much anticipation) did not disappoint.
 This was the ONLY window we could quickly grab a pic of the kids in front of.  Lots of people crowded around the windows....which is not a favorite of Josh's.

 It's always so rare to get a pic with Josh and his mommy where he actually looks like he doesn't hate me....you can still see a little of the unpleasantness in his face but good enough.  One day he will miss me.....I think!
Temple Square is so breathtaking at Christmas and so special when you can reflect on our Savior's life.  This is a perfect place to really keep things in perspective and feel the true spirit of Christmas.

Meili's 6th Birthday...

Meili's only request this year was to spend her birthday in Bear Lake.  That was not a problem.  Since it was also Raspberry Days that weekend, my family planned to come spend a fun-filled weekend with us.  Russel and I decided to come the night before and bring the three little kids with us.  We thought it would be super fun to go down to the KOA and rent a 6-person bike and ride around town.  It was a little harder than we thought since Russel and I were pretty much the man power.  We kept telling the kids to start pulling their weight and get pedaling!  JD kept complaining a little that his heart was hurting.  Well he's definitely a little athlete so I'm just thinking he's being lazy.  I kept telling him to get his groove on and get moving. Well after about an hour we returned the bike and went for snow cones.  The best snow cones in all of Bear Lake.  Yum!  Anyway, JD kept saying his heart was going so fast and I kept brush...

Girls, Girls, Girls....

So I have a lot of catching up to do in the blogging world. Several things have happened this month so I am devoting however long it may take today to get everything posted. This past weekend Abi invited 4 friends to go to the Nutcracker with her and Meili....of course Russel and I tagged along as well. We went to the matinee showing and beforehand they had a Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party that was an absolute must. All the girls dressed up in fancy dresses and we had a great time. The tea party was decorated like a little girl's dream. Pink everywhere, sparkles covering everything, gooey pink sweet dessert, and many performers from the show mingling and taking pictures. Abi is truly blessed to have such good friends and this is only just a handful of them. The girls were so cute and had a great time. Beautiful Drive up Logan Canyon...

On Saturday, we decided to take a little drive up the canyon and look at the beautiful fall colors and my oh my were they gorgeous!! We've been up there twice this week and just can't get enough. This time we remembered the camera. :) The kids loved seeing the vibrant leaves. The drive is truly an hour of awesomeness. Plus it's always nice to know there's a very yummy fresh raspberry shake waiting for you....not to mention chocolate covered raspberries. Just a few of our favorite moments in Bear Lake. Here are a few of the "hundreds" of pics that Russel took. He has "trigger finger." I think I narrowed it down pretty good though.....although sometimes it's hard to tell if #95 looks better #3. :)
