Christmas 2012....

Image
Christmas is definitely one of my favorite times of the year (even though it's sooo cold).  I love the magic, the joy, the service, the love felt for our Savior and all that he has done for us.  The last few years I have really tried to keep things simple so that we don't have as much chaos and can really enjoy the season and do things together as a family.....make new traditions, spend more quality time, etc.  I definitely still have a long way to go but I think each year I make baby steps towards that goal and I find things that work and things that don't.   I think the older the kids get, the more I feel like time is running out and I need more quality time with each of them.  And although it drives me crazy to think about not having all my kids under one roof, I also really love the perspective it gives me.  I want our memories to be about family time....not about the latest and greatest gadget.  When I think about my memories, sure there are those...

Temple Square Tradition...

Another great year at Temple Square.  This is one of my favorite traditions and this year had some extra fun attached to it as we got to look at the decorated windows at the new City Creek Shopping Center.  It brought back so many good memories from when I was a kid and my parents would take us into the old ZCMI center to admire all the beautiful Christmas and Winter windows.  And this year (after much anticipation) did not disappoint.  This was the ONLY window we could quickly grab a pic of the kids in front of.  Lots of people crowded around the windows....which is not a favorite of Josh's.   Grandma and Grandpa with the grand babies!  A couple of my favorite pictures of the night!  It's always so rare to get a pic with Josh and his mommy where he actually looks like he doesn't hate me....you can still see a little of the unpleasantness in his face but good enough.  One day he will miss me.....I think! Temple Square is so breathtaking ...

Singing and Dancing....

Meili was just plain born to sing and dance!  It is just in her.  She loves her Tavaci singing class and they do lots of fun dancey things with the songs.  It is also extra fun since there are 5 other cute girls in our neighborhood that go with her.  The videos from the concert are priceless.  She is definitely a performer...not shy at all and really just loves to be a star.     Meili and Halle  Meili, Halle, and Danika All the sweet girls together!  This was a performance at a nursing home. Meili also had a great ballet recital where her class performed as the mice in the Nutcracker.  Afterwards she got some special attention from the Sugar Plum Fairy
