Fall, Football, General Conference....

Oh so many of my favorite things happening all in one weekend. Fall is definitely my favorite time of the year. I love the chill in the air, the beautiful fall colors, the cozy sweaters, hot chocolate, and my list goes on and on. Football I do not love...but I love the idea of it (probably because it happens in the fall). I've really tried to love it but its seriously like a foreign language to me. So I just people watch and enjoy the awesome atmosphere. And might I add that our Aggies are making quite the impression. I know they didn't win the specific game they played general conference weekend but clearly they should've. We won't talk about that OTHER school.
General conference was amazing this session. I just soaked it all in. We were able to spend the weekend in Bear Lake and fall was exuding everywhere! It was truly breathtaking. I'll admit I was a little scatter brained after that first announcement by Pres. Monson. Thinking about Josh serving a mission when he is 18 was filled with so many mixed emotions. I just couldn't quit thinking about how we only have about 18 more months before he will be submitting his papers. Super crazy but awesome at the same. And what an amazing thing for the girls. So many more women will have that option if they want it. Such an exciting time in the history of the church. It was a perfect weekend and so nice to just relax and listen to the amazing guidance and direction from the prophet and his apostles.

Meili's 6th Birthday...

Meili's only request this year was to spend her birthday in Bear Lake.  That was not a problem.  Since it was also Raspberry Days that weekend, my family planned to come spend a fun-filled weekend with us.  Russel and I decided to come the night before and bring the three little kids with us.  We thought it would be super fun to go down to the KOA and rent a 6-person bike and ride around town.  It was a little harder than we thought since Russel and I were pretty much the man power.  We kept telling the kids to start pulling their weight and get pedaling!  JD kept complaining a little that his heart was hurting.  Well he's definitely a little athlete so I'm just thinking he's being lazy.  I kept telling him to get his groove on and get moving. Girls, Girls, Girls....

So I have a lot of catching up to do in the blogging world. Several things have happened this month so I am devoting however long it may take today to get everything posted. This past weekend Abi invited 4 friends to go to the Nutcracker with her and Meili....of course Russel and I tagged along as well. We went to the matinee showing and beforehand they had a Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party that was an absolute must. All the girls dressed up in fancy dresses and we had a great time. The tea party was decorated like a little girl's dream. Pink everywhere, sparkles covering everything, gooey pink sweet dessert, and many performers from the show mingling and taking pictures. Abi is truly blessed to have such good friends and this is only just a handful of them. The girls were so cute and had a great time. Beautiful Drive up Logan Canyon...

On Saturday, we decided to take a little drive up the canyon and look at the beautiful fall colors and my oh my were they gorgeous!! We've been up there twice this week and just can't get enough. This time we remembered the camera. :) The kids loved seeing the vibrant leaves. The drive is truly an hour of awesomeness. Plus it's always nice to know there's a very yummy fresh raspberry shake waiting for you....not to mention chocolate covered raspberries. Just a few of our favorite moments in Bear Lake. Here are a few of the "hundreds" of pics that Russel took. He has "trigger finger." I think I narrowed it down pretty good though.....although sometimes it's hard to tell if #95 looks better #3. :)
