Abi and Makenna & The Wests.....

We were so excited to have Abi's cousin from Arizona come and spend a week with us this summer.  These two girls are so sweet and have so much fun together.  We spent most of the week in Bear Lake and they did what girls do best......any guesses?

We had a great week and were so happy when our friends from medical school called and asked if we could meet up to go skiing with them in their new boat.  It was awesome.  We had such a great time catching up with them.  I love the picture of Makenna on the left.  She just couldn't get enough of the crazy tubing.  She asked to go with the older boys so she could get whipped around more.  We took this picture at the very end.  It was awesome!



And yes this is little Bridger and baby Brayden (who are not so little anymore) from our days in Kansas City.  They also brought cute Braxton and adorable little Jenna, who has quite the personality and loves to sing and dance.  Can you guess which song we had blaring when the girls were tubing above?   uh....Call Me...Maybe??



Our favorite new activity is surfing but you have to have a certain kind of boat to surf so it was a lot of fun to spend the day doing all sorts of fun things with the Wests.


We are definitely thinking that we need to make this little get together a tradition.....Makenna AND the Wests.  Since the girls thought Brayden was so cute, I'm sure they wouldn't mind getting together again with them. ;)

Meili's 6th Birthday...

Meili's only request this year was to spend her birthday in Bear Lake.  That was not a problem.  Since it was also Raspberry Days that weekend, my family planned to come spend a fun-filled weekend with us.  Russel and I decided to come the night before and bring the three little kids with us.  We thought it would be super fun to go down to the KOA and rent a 6-person bike and ride around town.  It was a little harder than we thought since Russel and I were pretty much the man power.  We kept telling the kids to start pulling their weight and get pedaling!  JD kept complaining a little that his heart was hurting.  Well he's definitely a little athlete so I'm just thinking he's being lazy.  I kept telling him to get his groove on and get moving. Well after about an hour we returned the bike and went for snow cones.  The best snow cones in all of Bear Lake.  Yum!  Anyway, JD kept saying his heart was going so fast and I kept brush...

Girls, Girls, Girls....

So I have a lot of catching up to do in the blogging world. Several things have happened this month so I am devoting however long it may take today to get everything posted. This past weekend Abi invited 4 friends to go to the Nutcracker with her and Meili....of course Russel and I tagged along as well. We went to the matinee showing and beforehand they had a Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party that was an absolute must. All the girls dressed up in fancy dresses and we had a great time. The tea party was decorated like a little girl's dream. Pink everywhere, sparkles covering everything, gooey pink sweet dessert, and many performers from the show mingling and taking pictures. Abi is truly blessed to have such good friends and this is only just a handful of them. The girls were so cute and had a great time. Beautiful Drive up Logan Canyon...

On Saturday, we decided to take a little drive up the canyon and look at the beautiful fall colors and my oh my were they gorgeous!! We've been up there twice this week and just can't get enough. This time we remembered the camera. :) The kids loved seeing the vibrant leaves. The drive is truly an hour of awesomeness. Plus it's always nice to know there's a very yummy fresh raspberry shake waiting for you....not to mention chocolate covered raspberries. Just a few of our favorite moments in Bear Lake. Here are a few of the "hundreds" of pics that Russel took. He has "trigger finger." I think I narrowed it down pretty good though.....although sometimes it's hard to tell if #95 looks better #3. :)
