So Blessed....

What a wonderful day. I just got off the phone with Heidi who had some terrific news. The orphanage emailed back our request for more information on little Meili. The orphanage confirmed that Meili's palate has been repaired!!! Her hearing upon observation is normal. He speech is understandable and she is not missing any teeth, although they are very small. What a tender mercy this is to our family. An emotional moment for me as I remember the feelings I had many months ago that Meili's medical issues would be better than we initially hoped for. I felt the Lord so strong at that time giving me peace and comfort that things would be fine and while I held onto that, I looked forward to the day that those feelings would be confirmed. The Lord has truly blessed us with this miracle. While she will need many more surgeries, it is so comforting to know that permanent damage is not being doing to her ears by having an open palate. Log-In Date and Request for Update

I was surprised as I was reading through the blog that I hadn't made a post about the log-in date. We were jumping up and down on the day Heidi called. She called the end of March but our log-in date was actually March 18. Happy Day!! This means we are still on schedule for August. Again, that could change at anytime but at least that step has kept us where we want to be. We are now waiting on the Letter Seeking Confirmation. We are crossing our fingers for the middle of May on this step. We are growing more in love with little Meili every day. The kids are really starting to realize that she will be here before we know it. With summer just around the corner, we know the months will go quickly and that she will be home with us soon. We are having fun finishing things up in her room and finding cute clothes for her. It's hard to really know for sure how big she will be but we are doing our best to guess since we will need to take clothes to China. Shoes are the hard...
