My little Joshie getting all grown up......the big 15!

July 10, 2011 WARNING: Stay off the roads....Josh is now acquiring his Learner's Permit and no one is safe :) Okay it's really not that bad, he is learning well and has managed not to put me into cardiac arrest yet.....but that doesn't mean I'm not just a tiny bit freaked out!! I've only just let him drive around the neighborhood, eventually I'll have to put on a helmet and venture into downtown..EEK!!! Josh was pretty excited for his birthday this year. There's just something about turning 15 that's cool.....not sure if it's because now it's only a year until dating and official driving, maybe because 15 sounds more like an adult than 14.....in any case it catches me off guard every time someone asks me how old is my oldest. When I reply "15", I just kinda catch my breath a little and can't believe it. He's such a good kid and has really grown up a lot this last year. He's a good worker and has worked hard helping me ...

Some Summer Happenings....

This summer has been a crazy one and I can't believe it's winding down. Summer always goes WAY too fast and each year I swear it goes faster. I'm not ready for the kiddies to go back to school....not even close. We've worked hard, played hard, and wish we could continue. Nick kept asking "when is Josh going to be home?" My thoughts exactly. Abi attended girls camp for the first time this year and had a great time. They went up to Heber Valley which, in my opinion, isn't really "roughing it." But sh...

Wrapping Up Another Year...

The end of the school year is always an exciting time.....programs, recitals, field days, the feeling of freedom and summer sun (although the summer sun part not so much this year). I love it.....it means having my sweet kiddies home with me for three awesome months....which always flies by like the blink of an eye. But it also is always a tad bit sad for me too. Not sure why....maybe just knowing they are all a year older is hard. I always get a little sentimental and think about all the things they've done and how they've grown over the last year. We had lots of fun activities going on the last month of the school year and here are a few that the kids participated in. Meili wrapped up her speech therapy for the year and is doing quite well. She has her m's, p's, and w's down pat. She still tends to be a little lazy in everyday speech but when she's practicing and concentrating on her flash cards, etc., she can do it. I'm starting to catch more and...
